Why Rahman and Slumdog?

Mozart of  Madras, AR Rahman's score in slumdog millionaire makes Billions of people smile and proud.  Congratulations Rahman, you deserve more than this.  Actually, academy should be proud that such a person receiving Oscar!!  If I'm not wrong!!
After this moment, we can raise a question, why rahman and why not other music composers from India?
I had been telling constantly to my friends.. ARR's original soundtrack is improving since few years back, and no need to say about his song's, he proved when he born.  All other indian musicians were failed to adopt the cultural barriers and experiment fusing traditional with contemporary instruments  like layering multi-instruments in different versions of music, if i ll say in one word, "Innovation".  And major thing i noticed with rahman is, there is a celebration in his music.  We can name many music composers for the score in emotions of tension, regret, obnoxious, resentment, annoyance, etc but for the moments of celebration, Rahman is the best composer in music history.  His music is such a celebration in many movies, its really intrude and induce our soul.  That is what he did in slumdog millionaire, though this movie had lot of opportunities for emotional showcase, Danny boyle and Rahman never allowed that emotions, instead they celebrated.  This treatment is really new and fresh, i feel this is the reason for such an enthusiastic acclamation in Golden globe, BAFTA, and Oscars.  By the way, if anyone of our indian filmmaker had taken a world standard movie, rahman could get these awards few years back.
Then, Slumdog millionaire...there are controversies about slumdog's success. One of my friend affirms slumdog millionaire as bumdog millionaire and its highly overrated, may be...(re)views never be same.

Lets see some technical aspects of this movie.
First music, as i told, it's really awesome, but rahman did better songs before 'jai ho..'.What to do, indian filmmakers know how to make movie within formula, but doesnt know a formula to make a movie in world standard and promote it(we must accept our flaws).

Secondly, Cinematography: It seems movie's cinematographer haven't seen before such kinda slums, thats why his camera was hungry enough to show and do wonders with its angels...it may be public toilet or Daraavi slum or mumbai landscape and its buildings or children's escape from police, train scenes and so on...awesome...an art through lens!!

Third Editing, though the story has inter-linked scenes, at anymoment its a challenge to find a single mistake.  So inch-by-inch, a great punch.  Particularly, at the begining of the movie, anil kapoor asking g about Jamal, the cut-to police man slaps Jamal, this  cut is a perfect example for editing, and sound mixing.

Lastly, Screenplay: No need to analyze, because if it is someother screenplay writer, he couldn't touch this (ordinary)story...making everyone to watch this story for two hours itself a big story!!  Like Craziness with cine-stars, Liveliness of slum life and death of orphans, Cruelty of religious fights, for breaking cultural aesthetics with love beyond virgin(for indian audience??), and social issues through a TV program, and the list goes till 'Jai ho'...
Totally Jai Ho,OOOh HO..!

Naan Kadavul??

Latest sensation(i don't know why, after watching 'pithamagan') in tamil film industry:Naan kadavul. Hell, i felt while watching this mass appeal movie,i thought of jumping away from cinema. The film director, Bala should re-consider himself. He is not a real parallel cinema maker or commercial maker(though there is nothing like that). I really don't know why people are celebrating him as a great filmmaker??Motcham, Saabam are protagonist's major deeds. Arya started well as an agory, Rudran, but the maker spoiled the tempo of the character. He has lot of opportunities to show the other side of the so called agories or the people living as such kinda status or stage. Then the story takes a turn and introduces us to the world of physically and mentally deformed beggars, again it starts well, especially the way BLACK HUMOUR performed by beggars is new to current Tamil cinema.Though he showed the life style and adversities in classical way, I dint involve sympathetically apart from those beggars appearance. Reason may be Illayaraja's music and movie lags of its making perfection. The maker trying to make the movie as GLOOMY, but he dint even competes the gloomy matter in KATTRATHU TAMIL's jeeva characterisation(though that movie failed because of protagonist's controversy).
Then, Arya, though his performance was great, still its a big question why he did all for!!
And background score, Illayaraja, I'm really doubtful on whether he is in 21st century or 20's or whether he knows what a background score is...(I'm really sorry for these words, though he is one of my favourite musicians, i want to use these words...if legends do mistake, it should be exaggerated, this is fact). The dialogues by much acclaimed writer, Jayamohan, is not off the mark sometimes. But overall it is good. Many times we cannot understand what their speaking, may be coz' of sound mixing was not clear. And logical mistakes like the protagonist(being an agory) accepts very easily to get home is an example. Bala, always try to show the extreme level of morbidity in his movies, nothing wrong, for number of reasons he is not getting right ingredients in scripting and making too. Technologically too his latest one is far behind. Music, camera, sound mixing, rerecording, etc...flaws will extend more if i ll let me to think, no need. I strongly believe its waste of time for him to try to make world cinema or parallel cinema or kinda cinema. Instead he can try to make movies like perarasu or hari's commercial cinema(though i stopped to see their movies long back, so i would add him in this list..haha), then people will be happy. Totally it's not a worthy movie apart from beggars life sequence.

X-factor!

What might be the major factor if you wanna do real big things?Curiosity or passion or experience??Here, my issue is with experience only...I wonder how useful the experience gonna help in this rapid changing world. But I'm not denying experience never help,it's undoubtedly help you like anything. Why i am raising this issue is,one of my friends running a manufacturing company, there he also shaping-teaching his son for next generation in different way(for me!).He is teaching by indicating the flaws(instead of opportunities...) in manufacturing plant and in industry. If this kinda on-the-job experience will help a leader or manager, then why those leaders or managers are not always successful through-out their career? Experience in failure could be useful, but it’s not a good indicator for or of future success. Though you may acquire relevant experiences throughout your career, your success do not continue at the same rate-I'm right if the history is true.Believe me,experience, probably has a strong negative correlation with success. If that weren’t true, all successful start-ups and entrepreneurs would be Mr.X,Age:80+.So,experince is one of the (minor)X-factor for success,if you compare with other factors.

CEO's secrets

It is really an inspirational moment if u meet a founder of big or successful organizations, again it is stimulating if u ll get chance to attend a presentation of such kinda founders, ceo's.so two days back i got such an opportunity, because i got a chance to attend a presentation of a malaysian healthcare company's president. It is one of the fast growing networking company with range of products.i dint find anything much difference between he and an ordinary person, the major difference is that he's putting everything into act, his passion towards related industry, keeping his people ALWAYS motivated,(probably)being most playful person in his organization, care on his people wealth and customers need. After that interaction It seams really easier job to develop a world class organization if we put our action and mind towards the facts mentioned here about him!

Rulers are like a Chair with four legs

In scott adams today's post,"the single most important issue",he has written as energy policy might be the most important issue if he could go for a single issue. But i strongly oppose to give vote for this issue if we could..of course, energy policy might have influence with all other developments, moreover it may not be the major concern for a country like US and in recent technological development. Also we shouldn't throw our vote for a single issue, though that article may be for discussion or just like that.President or rulers are like a Chair with four legs, they might be Health care,Balancing the budget by allocating appropriate proposition of funds to various issues with balancing taxes,Crime, and education. If you ask me to give my vote for single issue,i will give it for Balancing budget,so that by allocating the resources or creating resources,a country will be in right path.At last the major issue for our India may not these four, but it could be a good leader. And this might be a great disgrace for a country with more than a billion people with lack of a leader who could take brave, bold and innovative(if not, simulating from better governments atleast) decisions!!

Strong rupee:Boon or Debacle?

There may be a n-number of reasons for the appreciating rupee, but they are well known and have been discussed by economists and analysts extensively. But what may be the impact on Exports?Exchange rate is only one of the variables influencing the export performance of a country, others might be manufacturing cost, quality of products, delivery schedules and brand. Some of the big software companies started to negotiate with its foreign clients for compensation. But in textile sector, many of the Knitwear manufacturing companies discussing to shift to deal in euros instead of dollars.A rising rupee is also expected to attract more foreign direct investment to India apart from keeping inflation and interest rates down, but in any way it may not help for outsourcing organizations. This should help the manufacturing sector to maintain the tempo of new investments and productivity improvements.

Finally a dream FINAL!

Nothing is more than cricket in India, because it's India's religion. After its earleir chuck out in last ODI world cup,India is in world cup finals very soon, that too with its arch-rival pakistan!!...what a dream run for indian cricket! We know that Indian team is an easiest team to predict, our teams motto is as simple as "more expectation, less fulfillment",no longer it seams to be true.yes, last night after semi finals with australia, indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said his mantra,"Play without pressure, play to enjoy the game, express yourself, and don't worry about the results" That has been the desperate need for team India since long long period ago. After these days, now individual does not matter any more as team system has taken over them. So,as Dhoni's way,"let us see our team without pressure, enjoy the game ,express ourself, don't worry about results" Indeed,it's a witness for why does the game of cricket drive 1.2 billion people into a state of frenzy?
And what is an important impact of rich man's game in poor man's country in this T20 WC2007?In business...
India, in fact, accounts for 80% of all money in international cricket and has a TV viewership that is 10 times the size of all other ICC member countries put together. Many sorry almost all of services industry has already got double profit, but some few industries like real time or timely making profit industries, like textile industry in india has missed it's room of profit.Actually today morning i spoke to a garment exporter,he said that,in last ODI WC2007, because of indian teams bad dispaly, their huge volume of goods spilled out and also they are already facing a big challenge of dollars tumble and its risk factors. Huh,Game is all about win and lose!!
